Take The Sharpie Test:
- Get a regular white [ceramic/porcelain/glass] plate
- Take a standard Sharpie and make 2 marks on the plate
- Drop your Lemon Essential Oil on a mark and try to clean it off
It works or it doesn’t. If it doesn’t wipe the Sharpie off the plate it fails the test. It’s bad oil. Throw it away.

Can’t wait? Buy a lemon. Take a lemon zester (fine cheese grater might work) and zest a small section of the lemon. Then position that part of the lemon over the Sharpie mark, press hard and rub in circles a few times. You’ll see it start to rub off. That’s straight from the source… 100% oil.
